The enhanced density construction and power output of the PTE45N makes it the preferred choice for heavier product load transports. Without compromising the same sleek, compact design of the PTE33N, the PTE45N can be used to move product around tight corners and within smaller work areas with no problem. The ergonomically designed handle is equipped with Curtis controller and CAN-bus technology which makes it very convenient to program and operate to desired specifications. For example, the standard speed and "turtle" speed can be modified along with the braking distance. The handle includes Pin Code or RFID Access, Battery Discharge Indicator, Operating hour counter, Emergency-Reverse, horn, dual butterfly thumb driving control, electric lift and lowering buttons all within immediate proximity. The tiller control features include air spring supports which allow the tiller to smoothly return to its vertical position. With the tiller in vertical position the PTE45N can be operated in confined areas such as elevators, trailers, and narrow aisles. A safety feature worth noting is the speed reduction that takes places when the tiller reaches certain angles. For example, when moving at full speed in a straight direction the "Edge" will reduce speed when the tiller is turned sharply in a different direction thus preventing potential toppling of product. The PTE45N includes a 15.8 lbs. lithium battery that is easy to remove and replace. The unit includes a charger that along with the battery is resistant to vapor and moisture.
