About Noblelift

Noblelift has made its goal to become the top materials handling equipment company in the world. With the diversity and quality of products made by the business and its international sales, great strides are being made toward fulfilling that goal. For 13 years, the company has ranked as the top producer of manual pallet trucks in the world.

The company started back in 1996 when it constructed its first manual pallet truck on the request of an American customer. Since then, the company has expanded its offerings to more than 300 products across six categories. You will find three of those major categories here at Cherry’s Material Handling.

Why You Need Lift Equipment

As a warehouse manager, you must ensure your workers have the equipment they need to do their jobs with the least amount of risk. You can also reduce risk in a way that boosts productivity. The right equipment can do both. You can even find ways to get the lifts you need within your budget. Due to the benefits offered, sturdy lift equipment needs to be high on your list of tools you have available for your workers.

Benefits of Lift Equipment - Why You Need Warehouse Lift Equipment

Safer Operations

Lift equipment helps keep your workers safer while on the job. Instead of risking pulled muscles and strained backs, they can use lift equipment to move inventory. This equipment keeps them working by allowing them to safely lift and move more containers.

Safety from using lift equipment comes from the improved control and increased carrying capacity offered by these devices. Workers have lower risks of containers toppling on top of them if the lift tables and pallet trucks match the size of the goods moved. Because you likely have a range of container sizes at your facility, you will also need different types of lift equipment to move these containers with increased safety.

Investing in safety and operations equipment helps your workers and your company. When you give workers the tools that they need to safely do their jobs, they will require less time off for injuries. You will benefit from healthier workers who require less in workers’ compensation.

Pallet trucks, lift tables and straddle stackers give your workers a safer environment. And healthier employees are happier ones.

Improve Workplace Safety and Prevent Injuries with Lift Equipment

Increased Productivity

Ergonomic equipment designed to keep workers safe is one of the many positives that lead to healthier, happier workers. Reduced downtimes as a result of using quality lift equipment will always mean improved productivity.

Productivity is tied to your bottom line, and if your workers don’t have the equipment they need to do their jobs, they waste time. Even if you do have lift tables and pallet trucks in your facility, if you don’t have enough, workers will also spend excessive amounts of time tracking down the equipment they need or waiting on another employee to finish using it.

Since lifting equipment can handle ranges of items such as pallets, boxes and a multitude of other containers, you gain the benefit of versatility. To get the most from your equipment, you will need to select them carefully based on your warehouse’s needs. Doing so will give you the most significant increase in productivity while saving you from overspending.

Noblelift Guide by Product Type

While Noblelift manufactures a range of products, at Cherry’s, we have currently selected three categories of equipment we have seen to be most helpful for our customers. Find out everything you need to determine the differences between stackers, pallet trucks and lift tables and the myriad of options you have for each.

Noblelift Straddle Stackers

If you have a warehouse with narrow aisles, you already know how to get the most use out of the small space you have. However, you will need special equipment to allow your workers between those narrow aisles if a forklift won’t fit. Straddle stackers, also called pallet stackers, give your workers a way to safely maneuver pallets down narrow walkways while also lifting or lowering them into the needed position, reaching heights higher than standard pallet jacks can.

Noblelift straddle stackers come in three varieties — manual, semi-electric and fully electric. Understanding the benefits of each of these options will help you choose the best for your facility.

Manual Pallet Stackers

Noblelift Manual Pallet Stackers

When it comes to choosing the most economical option, manual pallet stackers will fulfill your needs. These stackers are good for narrow aisles and lift pallets to higher shelves, as forklifts do, without taking up as much aisle space. Through hydraulic operations, these straddle stackers can lift pallets several feet in the air.

If you want the ease and freedom of a manual pallet stacker, you have three options. Each stacker reaches a different height. Order based on how high you need to stack the pallets in your facility.

All three of these stackers have 2,200-pound capacities, foot-pumps and wheel brakes. The adjustable legs mean you can handle pallets wider than 40 inches.

Semi-Electric Straddle Stackers

Semi-electric straddle stackers bridge the needs of economics and ease of use. By boosting the power of these devices with a 12-volt electric motor, workers can use less effort to lift containers. The power-assisted lift enables less force needed by employees for moving pallets.

Like forklifts, semi-electric stackers make moving crates easier, but their narrow and shallow design fits better down slender aisles. Since these do not need a large driver’s compartment, they require less space to operate compared to forklifts.

Like their manual counterparts, semi-electric straddle stackers have a minimum height of 63 inches for the SPN22-63 model. The line we offer from Noblelift, however, has more heights available, up to the SPN22-138 that can stack pallets at 138 inches. To fit a variety of pallet widths, all semi-electric straddle stackers allow you to adjust the width of the forks. For safety and the most effective use, always use these stackers on a level floor.

Electric Straddle Stackers

Noblelift Electric Straddle Stackers

Fully electric pallet stackers are a great option for maximum ergonomic efficiency and productivity. These stackers are ideal if you have a large facility that regularly moves large amounts of pallets through aisles too narrow for a forklift. To prevent accidents, only use these fully electric models indoors and on flat surfaces.

The Differences Between Manual, Semi-Electric and Fully Electric Stackers

Manual, semi-electric and fully electric straddle stackers each have their advantages. Finding the best one for your facility depends on your warehouse size, shelving needs and volume of work.

Manual models work best for smaller facilities or those with tighter budgets. These models also do not have onboard batteries that need charging. Also, since these models do not have electrical components, you can use them in inclement conditions that would not allow for electric stackers.

Semi-electric stackers and fully electric models both require regular charging of their batteries. These types of straddle stackers, though, can reach higher shelves than manual models. Additionally, they do not require the monotonous and continuous effort of a worker pumping up the forks. Prices for these depend on their maximum height and whether they operate fully or partially with electricity.

If you want to tell the difference between these stackers based on their part names alone, you need to know what the letters and numbers stand for. When it comes to the parts’ names, SPN22 indicates a semi-electric stacker. The designation ECL22M accompanies fully electric straddle stacker models. Lastly, the SFH22 appears at the beginning of all manual model numbers. The numbers after the dash in these names give the maximum lift height of the stacker in inches for electric, manual and semi-electric models, as seen in the part examples above.

Noblelift Pallet Trucks

Pallet trucks, also called pallet jacks, are a staple of any warehouse. These devices allow for the safe means of lifting and moving heavy pallets. As with other types of lift equipment, pallet trucks have manual, semi and fully electric options.

Pallet trucks have such essential use in warehouse, ordering these becomes a matter of how many do you need rather than whether you can use them. Your workers will use these units multiple times each day. Ordering enough to have adequate supplies for all your employees ensures you keep uptime at a maximum. When you have pallet jacks waiting on your employees to use them instead of your workers waiting for a pallet truck to become available, you make the most of your workers’ time and your warehouse’s productivity.

Benefits of Pallet Truck in the Warehouse

Manual Pallet Trucks

Noblelift manual pallet trucks have various options such as those made for rolls and reels, extended length, quick lift and extra low profile. You will likely need many of these numerous types, depending on what your warehouse handles.

If you move heavy rolls, the specially shaped roll and reel pallet trucks prevent these oddly shaped products from falling off during transport. The sloped sides keep the roll from moving, and these Noblelift manual pallet trucks can carry up to 4,000 pounds.

For warehouses that have strict requirements for sanitation due to storing products for human ingestion, such as food or pharmaceuticals, you need stainless steel supplies. Among the manual pallet jacks from Noblelift, we have a stainless-steel option with a load capacity of 5,500 pounds.

For moving larger pallets or reaching deeper into shelves, you need extended length pallet trucks. With their extra-long forks, these jacks give your workers more versatility in the goods they can pull and stock.

Noblelift’s manual pallet trucks have three-position hand levers that adjust the hydraulic pumps to raise and lower the loads. With varying load capacities, you will need to order a manual pallet truck that will carry more than the maximum weight of your pallets.

Pallet Truck Max Load Capacity

Manual pallet trucks have the most considerable number of options. Generally, manual models start with AC. After that, the next letter indicates one of several options.

  • F appears on quick lift models, as seen on the ACF44-2748. (Think “Faster” lift)
  • Galvanized pallet trucks have a Z after the AC, as the ACZ44-2748 model does. (Think “Zinc coated”)
  • Extended length trucks use an L to indicate their extra length, such as the ACL44-2780. (Think “Longer length forks”)
  • Stainless-steel trucks have an S following AC, such as the ACS44-2748-304.
  • The designation “4way” follows a dash after AC for their eponymous use, as the AC-4way-3348.
  • For low-profile trucks, you will see Low44 after AC- in the name, such as the AC-Low44-2748-2.
  • Even lower profile trucks have Ultralow22 after AC as in the AC-Ultralow22-2744-1.4.
  • If you see 55 instead of 44 after the AC, you have a 5,500 lbs. capacity as opposed to a 4,400 lbs. capacity.
  • The groups of four digits give the (outside to outside) width and length of the fork. The first two numbers give the width and the second two the length.

Semi-Electric Pallet Trucks

As with straddle stackers, semi-electric pallet trucks also use electricity to augment their hydraulics to allow for easier moving of the truck and its load. With up to three hours of continuous usage per charge, the semi-electric pallet truck facilitates moving pallets for workers. Even without the additional power, you can continue to use this semi-electric truck the same as you would a manual pallet jack.

The letters SPTE at the beginning of the model number accompany semi-electric pallet trucks. If you see DGB33, that is a semi-electric scissor lift pallet truck. As with other pallet trucks, the first two numbers after the dash give the fork width.

Electric Pallet Trucks

Fully integrating electricity into pallet trucks provides more control over their operation. For example, your workers can change the braking distance, slow speed and standard speed to make the jacks easier and safer to use within your facility.

Manual vs. Electric vs. Semi-Electric Pallet Trucks

When it comes to comparing manual and electric pallet jacks, you need to decide how you will use them. You will find more options for different styles of manual jacks. Using these types of pallet trucks, though, can wear your workers out. Semi-electric and fully electric pallet trucks make moving pallets almost automatic, and with speed options on fully electric models, your employees can get the most from these tools.

You may find times when your employees need the special abilities of manual pallet trucks. Instead of having only manual models, consider supplementing your equipment with semi-electric or fully electric pallet jacks to ease the strain on your workers. Use the specialized manual pallet trucks for specific tasks such as moving rolls or reaching deeper into shelves and have workers opt for the powered models for other jobs to minimize their strain.

Noblelift Lift Tables

Noblelift Lift Tables

Lift tables reduce strain on workers by protecting them from having to lift heavy items such as parts, boxes, or containers. With these, you have options between a standard scissor lift and double. If you want a Noblelift brand lift table, you will find both the standard and double in electric and manual options.

Scissor Lift Tables

Standard mobile scissor lift tables make transporting heavy product easier. The platform raises to a comfortable working height with standard tables while double scissor lifts reach even higher. Manual options have a foot pump to engage the hydraulic lift system.

Manual scissor lift tables, like pallet trucks, have options in stainless-steel for moving food or pharmaceuticals. Such products require surfaces that you can sanitize, which you can do with stainless-steel. You will find both single and double scissor lifts made from this material.

Noblelift also makes electric versions of its scissor lift tables for ease of use and an alternative to manual-pump hydraulics. Pay attention to the weight capacities of each model. For example, one model of electric lift tables, ETF66, has a capacity of 660 pounds, whereas another, ETF165, has a capacity more than double, lifting up to 1,650 pounds.

Lift tables have the most straightforward alpha-numeric part names. Here’s how to identify the part’s attributes based on its number:

  • TF means table lift with foot pump and appears on all parts in this category.
  • The E indicates an electric model. With scissor lifts, you only have manual and electric — there are no semi-electric options.
  • D appears on double scissor lift model numbers, both manual and electric.
  • If you see a number, add a 0 to find the maximum weight capacity. For instance, ETF66 has a 660-pound capacity.
  • An S at the end of the number shows the model is stainless-steel.
  • The TG means you have a “Grand” model, which refers to the extra-large platform.

Manual vs. Electric Lift Tables

Manual lift tables work best in environments when you cannot use electricity, such as humid or wet settings. Electric lift tables, though, replace the hydraulic lifting system with an electric one. Using standard 115V outlets for charging, these tables do not require exclusive electrical outlets.

If your facility has enough electric outlets for charging powered lift tables, they provide your workers with a less labor-intensive option that features emergency stop and other safety mechanisms.

Having manual lift tables as a backup for when all the electric tables are charging or in use can help keep your warehouse operating at peak efficiency.

Choosing the Right Noblelift Products for Your Warehouse

So, which products from Noblelift are right for your facility? The size of your facility and workload will help you make decisions about the best lift equipment for your employees. Over time, your warehouse’s needs will change as your facility grows. While you should order equipment for the warehouse you have now, always keep an eye on investing in future growth.

If you have a small warehouse, manual equipment may work best. You will save money while equipping your workers with the lift products needed to move lower volumes of stock. If you have narrow aisles, investing in manual straddle stackers will also benefit your facility.

Adapting Warehouse Strategy for Business Growth

As your facility grows, you will likely need to increase shelf height for storage. Manual lift equipment can only reach so high. In such instances, you will need to choose semi-electric or fully electric to handle higher volumes. Electric operation either supplementing hydraulics or fully taking over lifting operations makes it possible to lift more pallets and raise them higher than possible with manual lift equipment.
