Tandem connectors are very useful when your application requires moving a heavy load in one direction (no turning). A tandem connector attaches the back of a MultiRoll Roller Skid with the front of a MultiRoll Roller Skid in essence creating a train. The purpose of this arrangement is to provide extra reinforced support for a load. The support capacity doubles for that particular area where the tandem roller skids are found. See photo below.

For example, if a Roller Skid Kit does not have sufficient capacity to handle a load you can purchase more roller skids (the same kind as in the Kit) and use the tandem connectors to “shore up” the needed weight capacity.
