First, determine the type of kit you would like to purchase – a 3 Point Load Kit or a 4-Point Load Kit. (See the above question if you would like to better understand the difference between the 2) Next, choose a kit with a total weight capacity that is more than capable of moving the load you are looking to transport. For example, although a Mark 2P Kit which has a capacity of 20,000 lbs and is more than capable of transporting 15,000 lbs I would consider a Mark 3P Kit which has a 30,000 lb capacity. There is always a potential that another rigging project may come and require you to move more than 15,000 lbs the next time. The key is to always leave room for a large margin of capacity to be completely safe.
